Jake Mix is a freelance illustrator and cartoonist living in El Cerrito, California. He also does creative work for Kapor Enterprises, which provides in-house services for the Level Playing Field Institute, the Mitchell Kapor Foundation, and other companies.

Jake studied cognitive science, linguistics, and computer science at the University of California, Berkeley, where he became interested in illustration after developing an insatiable appetite for comics, both arthouse and pop, from around the world. He began illustrating for The Daily Californian and teaching a student run seminar on the history of cartooning, and has been putting ink to paper since.
